Hello backers!

Here with some updates on the novel~

  • Yesterday, my amazing - and patient! - editor finished notating the rest of the book. I've been following along and working on edits behind her, and she made it to the end and gave me her final notes. 🎉
  • Speaking of making actual edits, the book is fully edited through page 125
  • I've lined up someone for layout and formatting of the book this week. So as soon as edits are complete, I can send the manuscript over for formatting immediately. 


Current Roadmap:
  • Write the thing
  • Edit the thing <----- You are here
  • Final read through and final finnicky edits
  • Format the thing
  • Add artwork to chapter ends
  • Final formatting
  • Deliver digital book to backers
  • Deliver print book to backers
  • Send to distro

Just a quick update to share that I'm still hard at work on the book.

We're currently fully edited up to page 102 of 246.

This section is being worked on, so have a little preview before it's maybe gone. XD

Hello backers!!

The campaign is over and funded, and I have all of you to thank for such a successful campaign!

I'm going to be setting up the pledge manager next week. And it's going to be open for a LONG time. I'm working on edits for the novel, and that's really the only work left to do. Rewards will be sent when it's complete.

You should expect updates every 4-6 weeks until we're done.

Current status: Editing is done up to page 52 of 247
(This is not yet formatted for print and page count does not reflect final print)

Hey backers!


I was working on some edits, and I caught myself thinking about this story - about how it started heckin 10 years ago, and how it evolved over the five original comic issues of Alex Priest. And I have found, just, so much joy writing this story again. While remaining faithful to the story, I've found a lot of room to say "What else would happen" or "What else would they say?" (Basically, gee, I really hope people like this.)

Here's a snippet I shared with friends last night, talking about how much I heckin love the rule of three


So anyway, I said I was waxing nostalgic - 


I was looking through old files and found some sticker designs I'd commissioned years ago for an earlier release. And lookin' at them, I thought - oh heck, bookmarks?

Should these go into production, they'd be magnetic bookmarks (that's why Alex is upside down! lol) and approximately 1.5"

What do we think? Should I add them to the preorder store?

I also found

While digging around, I also found the artwork commissioned for the alternative cover of the very first issue of Alex Priest. This was done by Greek artist Stella Violari.

What do we think? Should we reprise this piece as an alternative cover?
